DESCRIPTION:Date: September 19th\nRain Date: September 20th\nLocation:\nLafayette Hills Townhouse Association \n1 Morningstar Road \nHawthorne\, NJ 07506 \nThis training is a unique opportunity to learn about managing:\nController – This is a two-wire system so we will discuss the benefits of two-wire over conventional wiring\, the importance of a perfect splice\, the need for grounding and types of grounding\, programming features of the controller\, expandability and diagnostics. \nRainwater System – Automatic switch over\, the benefits of using Rainwater\, catchment\, prefiltration\, storage\, pumping\, controls\, post filtration\, replenishment\, and costs. \nSprays – Because of the 80’ plus elevation change on site we will discuss the benefits of using 6” sprays with Precision nozzles with pressure regulation in the heads along with check valves. Discuss and move some heads spraying onto the building and evaluate for coverage. \nRotors – We will change out rotors that are spaced under 30’ with rotating nozzles\, move heads that are spraying against the building\, Check rotors for matched precipitation and change nozzles as needed. \nValves –Because the system switches from Rainwater to Potable water what must we consider when choosing a valve. Measure the pressure at different points along the system and install pressure regulation on some valves as needed. Discuss valve sizing and flow. \nTwo Wire Troubleshooting – The benefits of two wire irrigation systems are many. But when something goes wrong how do you evaluate\, identify\, and repair two wire. What are common issues and what differentiates two wire from conventional wire. Grounding and the lack there of. \nThis is a great way to earn 8 Water Conservation CECs in a more engaging and exciting setting than traditional classroom environment.
