Like the other construction trades, the landscape and irrigation industry is in the midst of an
extreme labor shortage. An often-overlooked resource are the educators in higher
education. They can partner with industry professionals to improve awareness of unique
and interesting career opportunities. There are many individuals in urban and rural areas
that are unsure of opportunities to use their hands, address environmental challenges, and
make an impact on society while using critical and creative thinking skills.

This 1-hour webinar will show the landscape or irrigation professional the potential for
employees by examining the demographics of these students, their career and social
interest, and the dynamic pathways to guide them into the green industry through higher
education.
