Get your techs some hands-on training from seasoned irrigation renovation veterans using the industry’s best practices and NC state standards.  This is a day-long course includes 6 hours of in the field work on a live irrigation system and 4 hours on the business of performing irrigation system renovations.

Topics to include:

Technical Learning Objectives

  • Learn new methods of solving layout and sprinkler coverage challenges with sprinklers, spacing, and nozzles.
  • Discover innovative ways to convert existing sprinklers to microirrigation.
  • Improve efficiencies of troubleshooting and tracking valve wiring and solenoids.
  • Be able to assess valve failures and make recommendations on rebuilds vs. replacement.
  • Identify the hydraulic requirements of adding valves to an existing system.
  • Understand water efficiency options for irrigation controllers and benefits of remote access.
  • Review options for flow sensing, managing water sources and recognizing backflow prevention improvements.

Business Learning Objectives

  • Understanding the market and its potential for system renovations.
  • Profitably bid to present the ROI and the financial case for system upgrades and renovations.
  • Developing specific marketing strategies to support system enhancements and management plans.
  • Improving sales skills to build confidence with upgrades and system renovations and conversions.
