5-Day Irrigation ’Boot Camp’ training event At the Bay Area Transit Authority (BART)

| $1,495.00This five day training event is designed for the entry level irrigation
technician or the tech with only a few years of field experience. Training
will be in a classroom, hands-on and field environment. We will
start with the basics and culminate with the option to complete IA’s
Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) examination (registration and payment for the exam is done separately; call the Irrigation Association at: 703.536.7080 or

Students in this ’Boot Camp’ training will learn the skills to install,
repair and maintain irrigation systems, including:
– Cut and join pipe, know the limitations of different piping systems,
and understand basic hydraulics.
– Layout and install piping and water delivery components; backflow
prevention components; mechanical, hydraulic and electrical irrigation
controls; and other irrigation system components.
– Troubleshoot and repair irrigation components and systems.
This course is taught by an industry expert with over 30 years of
landscape irrigation management and training experience –
Chris Pine from IRRITECH Training.

• Day 1—Introduction to Irrigation & Installation
• Day 1.5 & 2— The Irrigation Technician Course
• Day 3—The Landscape Irrigation Design Process
• Day 4—Efficient Irrigation Scheduling
• Day 5— Morning Review, and afternoon IA’s CIT Exam (1-4 PM)
